This leader has accountability and oversight, and supervises the daily activities of the Pre-Arrival Services department. In this role, the leader sets the tone and models positive leadership behavior, while ensuring successful completion of individual and teamwork tasks, projects, and responsibilities in support of departmental and organizational goals.Required Qualifications:

- Require a Bachelors degree in business or related field.
- Require four (4) years of experience in registration, billing, insurance processing and scheduling of patients in a medical setting in which two (2) years are in a lead or supervisory level.
- Require Certified Healthcare Access Manager (CHAM) certification form the National Associate of Healthcare Access Management (NAHAM). May be obtained within one (1) year of hire date.Preferred Qualifications:

- Prefer three (3) years of experience with computers using information systems including scheduling, registration, medical necessity, billing, and other business office programs
- Prefer demonstrated knowledge of International Classification of Diseases Tenth Revision (ICD-10) coding and Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) coding.
- Prefer demonstrated thorough knowledge of Medicare National Coverage Determination (NCD) and Local Coverage Determination (LCD) protocols for medical necessity / Advanced Beneficiary Notice.
- Prefer skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships at all levels.
- Prefer strong communication skills at all levels.
- Prefer strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to handle difficult situations in a diplomatic manner.
- Prefer strong leadership skills and understanding of group processes, teamwork and site/cost center-based management.
