We are looking for a highly skilled Financial Accounting Analyst to serve as lead and subject matter expert in all functional areas and assigned special projects within the Finance and Board Services division. This position performs technical and professional service assistance involving the identification and evaluation of financial accounting issues, the development of viable and cost-effective solutions, and negotiation and implementation of those solutions. The position is based in beautiful downtown Sarasota, Florida.

The minimum starting pay is $49,889. Starting salary is commensurate with the candidate's experience and qualifications, up to $62,472.
A bachelor's degree in Business or four years of direct experience required. Additional coursework in Accounting or Public Finance preferred. Four to five years in public accounting, auditing or governmental finance or any equivalent combination of training and experience is preferred.
