Description
The Assistive Technology Specialist is responsible for providing assessments and/or training as it relates to assistive technology needs for those with intellectual and or developmental disabilities, to help them select and utilize adaptive devices to assist with equal access. This position will join a collaborative, multidisciplinary team to provide services that are aligned with best practice.
This position will be based out of our Westbrook or Branford Office Space.
Requirements
Must be able to sit at a desk and stand at an assigned location and work for extended periods of time; bend/stoop, kneel and balance frequently; climb, reach above shoulder level; push/pull, squat and crouch occasionally; must be able to retrieve file information from file cabinet drawers ranging in height from 1’ to 5’ from floor; carry reports and equipment weighing up to 75 lbs; move computer paper in boxes; must have access to a vehicle during work hours and be able to drive.
