Sarah Reed Senior Living is Hiring a Registered Dietician Near Erie, PA
- Knowledge and experience of food service management, food sanitation and nutritional needs in the geriatric population.
- Knowledge, interest and understanding of geriatric population.
- Effective communication, leadership and organizational skills.
- Ability to accept change and be supportive of administration when change is necessary for the interest of Sarah Reed and resident care.
- Knows and adheres to all departmental policies, emergency and evacuation procedures, and industry regulations; i.e., HIPPA, Corporate Compliance.
- Treats residents, employees, and coworkers as customers, providing quality service and assistance.
- Ability to successfully maintain a ServSafe food sanitation certificate.
- Knowledge of MDS criteria and Care Planning process.
- Develops nutritional assessments, including weight monitoring, and implements nutritional care of the residents.
- Maintains nutritional progress of assigned residents and documents according to regulations and professional standards.
- Conducts and implements clinical QA and attends meetings as assigned.
- Conducts appropriate in-services to Food Service Department and other departments or staff members as assigned by Director of Food Services.
- Develops and maintains a plan of nutritional care according to facility policy.
- Develops and implements supplement routine for residents.
- Meets with families and/or residents as needed; attends care plan meetings, admission care plan meetings, Medicare meetings as needed, and Grand rounds meetings as needed.
- Completes MDS’s, progress note and nutritional assessment according to facility policy and CMS regulations.
- Updating supplement labels.
- Writes diet cards.
- Monitor dining rooms.
- Alter therapeutic menu, as needed.
- Attends In-Service meetings and Supervisor approved relevant seminars/workshops.
- Will perform any other related duties and responsibilities that may become necessary as directed by Supervisor.
