Summary of Position:

The Santo Domingo Library provides an essential service to tribal members - including a wide range of reading material for all ages and community outreach for tribal youth to provide services, experiences, and spaces that inspire curiosity. The library also provides computer and internet access to tribal members who do not have computers in their homes. The Library Aide acts as a support role to the Librarian. The Library Aide will assist the head librarian in daily and weekly activities planning and providing service to patrons and the community. This position functions with a high level of professionalism, reliability, and enthusiasm.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience delivering literary programs to patrons.
• Ability to use computers and relevant software such as Microsoft Suite and other platforms
• Experience in utilizing cataloging software (Biblionix)
• Flexibility to work various shifts including days, evenings, and weekends and holidays.
• The ability to comfortably communicate in individual and small group settings.
• Ability to travel locally and out of state as needed.
• Valid New Mexico drivers license with ability to meet and maintain eligibility for Santo Domingo Pueblo's liability insurance requirements.
• Must be able to satisfactorily pass a background check.
• Keres language speaking preferred.
• Covid-19 vaccination required. Reasonable accommodation considered.
