Description

OVERVIEW 

Provide journey-level electrical work in the maintenance, repair, and construction of a wide variety of complex electrical systems. Lead electrical projects in partnership with other trade-specific teams in the Facilities & Maintenance department. 

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Continually maintain and provide a safe and code compliant condition and operation of all electrical fixtures, equipment, and systems inside and outside Santikos facilities 

  • Know and comply with all aspects of electrical code, following strict adherence to Federal, State, and local laws, company policies, and department procedures/requirements at all times 

  • Develop and maintain proper quality assurance standards 

  • Detect and self-perform or communicate all needed repairs for buildings, grounds, and equipment, entering work orders and preventative maintenance goals into the CMMS system whenever required 

  • Apply and coordinate normally scheduled routine preventative maintenance activities 

  • Evaluate maintenance requests, set priorities, and oversee the process of work assignments using a CMMS system 

  • Effectively manage the Electrical team including but not limited to training, delegation, performance, policy compliance, and motivation 

  • Ensure timely completion and comprehensive updates for all Electrical Team work orders, able to provide weekly updates on Team work orders and score cards 

  • Inspect, diagnose malfunctions; repair, maintain, test and install wiring, electrical fixtures, equipment, and components of equipment following applicable electrical code, manuals, specifications, schematics, or blueprints. 

  • Remove and replace or install all types of electrical fixtures, such as control and distribution apparatus, motors, relays, switches, thermostats, circuit breakers (including shunt-trip or GFCI type), and other equipment. 

  • Maintain, repair, and install power supply wiring, cables, conduit, and electrical apparatus and equipment including kitchen equipment, heat exchangers and coils. 

  • Test circuits for continuity, stability, and proper function 

  • Cut, fit, fabricate, and assemble a wide variety of articles, materials, and devices, including steel, copper, brass, and plastic 

  • Maintain on-call responsibilities and schedule, including emergency calls 

  • Read and interpret plans, blueprints, and sketches; construct, lay out or plan piping with respect to walls, structures, and other obstructions, allowing for expansion and contraction and alignment in accordance with electrical practice. Work with Manager/Supervisor to discuss any proposed project changes before construction 

  • Acquire quotes and develop estimates for repairs or installations 

  • Keep Leads and Supervisors informed of project status/work progress, needed materials and equipment. 

  • Load and unload materials and supplies.

  • Instruct semi-skilled workers when required. 

  • Communicate and coordinate with other Facilities Services to facilitate work 

  • Load and unload heavy equipment

  • Know and comply with occupational health and safety (OSHA) regulations specific to the work and conduct on the job, including Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) instructions, Hazard Review Checklists (HRCs) and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required 

  • Comply with all Santikos and Facilities Services policies and procedures. Support all management directives and the vision and values of Santikos Entertainment 

  • Participate in and follow through with Santikos process improvement initiatives into internal work processes. Promote employee engagement in continuous improvements and innovation 

  • Actively participate in meetings and training as scheduled 

  • Provide excellent customer service through effective, courteous and professional interactions with clients, colleagues and the Santikos community 

  • Maintain proper work attire or uniform at all times, in addition to company policy concerning appearance and grooming 

  • Perform other duties as assigned 

Qualifications


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS 

  • High school diploma or equivalent 

  • Completion of a recognized electrical apprenticeship with Texas license or full journey status as an Electrician with Texas license 

  • Minimum of 5 years of applicable work experience. Completed vocational training may be considered in lieu of some work experience 

  • Valid Texas state driver’s license or a license recognized as valid by the State of Texas 

  • Reliable vehicle for regular local travel to and from geographically dispersed work sites 

  • Incident-free driving record as documented by regular verification through Motor Vehicle reporting and on-board Company Vehicle GPS, camera, and/or other sensors and reporting 

SKILLS, ABILITIES, & KNOWLEDGE 

  • Experience in electrical maintenance of institutional, industrial and/or commercial environments. 

  • Demonstrate experience and proficiency in operation of various electrical related equipment not limited to pipe benders, saws, gauges, crimp tools, wire puller, multi meter, ohm meter, testing equipment, and other tools as required. 

  • Strong personal integrity and trustworthiness

  • Ability to climb up and down all types of ladders, including those used for roof access 

  • Ability to work in various outdoor conditions and temperatures 

  • Flexibility with work hours and schedule 

  • Ability to access and work in semi-confined spaces and heights not limited to roofs, ceilings, and below building areas using approved safety precautions 

  • Ability to lift and move heavy material is required 

  • Ability to purchase and wear approved footwear during scheduled work times 

  • Knowledge of and practical experience with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Act) regulations. 

  • Proficiency with standard CMMS software similar to Asset Essentials or equivalent products
