Santa Rosa Veterinary Hospital, located in beautiful wine country in Sonoma County, CA, has an exciting new opportunity for a Lead Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team!

We're looking for compassionate team players with exceptional communication and multi-tasking abilities. Candidates must be attentive, willing to jump in where needed, and have a true desire to connect with our clients and patients.

This is a full-time position, scheduled Monday-Friday, with no weekends!

The ideal candidate:

• Strong nursing and record keeping skills
• Compassionate team players who have excellent communication skills
• Committed to a career in veterinary medicine
• Interest in professional growth and leadership
• Working knowledge of Avimark is a plus!
• Experience with exotics is a plus!

Some of the responsibilities you will own in this role:

• Client service and communication
• Welcoming and discharging patients
• Financial transactions and over the counter sales
• Resolving client concerns
• Gentle patient handling and restraint
• Administering medications and injections
• Placing IV catheters
• Surgical prep and assistance
• Inducing and monitoring anesthesia
• Dental prophy and radiology
• Assisting with outpatient procedures
• Pharmacy and laboratory duties
• Team training and mentorship
• Team scheduling
• Monitoring hospital work flow
• Ensuring safety protocols are followed

Full-time benefits and compensation:

• Compensation: $28 - $32/hour (based on experience and skillset)
• Bonus package: $2000
• CE allowance: $500 the first year, $1,000 annually thereafter
