Santa Fe Recovery Center is a leading provider of substance use disorder and mental health treatment and education services.

We are looking for a full-time Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) Coordinator to join our team at our Gallup offices. We offer a competitive salary range from $55,500 - $65,500 (BOE) and the Benefits shown below.

Summary :

Under the supervision of the Director of Prevention & Recovery, the MAT Coordinator ensures all project goals, objectives, and activities are achieved and are culturally appropriate and sensitive to the target population.

The position will provide direct support to outpatient staff and facilitate all consortium meetings, training, and events.

The position coordinates all MAT service delivery provided at the physical locations and mobile unit locations at the Navajo Nation Chapter Houses.

The Coordinator will develop and disseminate communication materials and science-based messaging to educate the public, identifying key communication venues for target populations, including web-based social networking sites and print and broadcast media, and implementing education and communication campaigns.

The position will also support training activities at local hospitals, first responder agencies, and other community organizations and develop messages to leaders, elected officials, and other community stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Healthcare Navigator : (Included but not limited to)

You'll report to the Director of Prevention and Recovery and :

  • Responsible for a thorough understanding of the HRSA MAT Access grant.
  • Provide direct non-clinical program support and administrative services to the MAT team.
  • Collaborates and communicates with stakeholders regarding improvements, data entry, treatment assessments, and the success of the MAT program.
  • Works closely with the Director to establish new physical and mobile MAT locations to provide OUD and AUD services; including processes, agreements, and additional specific grant deliverables.
  • Communicates and collaborates with providers and all members of the multidisciplinary team as needed to facilitate MAT patient registries, care delivery appointments, and community outreach activities.
  • Participates in grant-funded activities specifically around MAT, including data entry, and data monitoring in coordination with the Data Coordinator.
  • Markets and promotes the MAT program by engaging and facilitating community outreach activities.
  • Identifies and implements strategies in line with grant and organizational mission that promote patient engagement, self-care, and optimal levels of health and well-being.
  • Oversees facility to ensure cleanliness, safety, organization, and efficiency.
  • Develops and conducts presentations for increased education of MAT program and continuity of care.
  • Monitors grievances from clients to adequately coordinate for resolution.
  • Maintains ethical and confidentiality rules and regulations in accordance with HIPAA / 42 CFR Part 2.
  • May be required to perform other duties as required.

Requirements :

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Knowledge of office procedures and spelling, grammar, punctuation, and arithmetic.
  • Skill in communicating effectively in writing as appropriate.
  • Ability to handle difficult and stressful situations with professional composure.
  • Skill in collecting and analyzing complex data.
  • Skill in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
  • Skill in managing one's own time.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet close deadlines.
  • Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.

Education and Experience :

  • HS Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Bachelors or Associates in Public Health, Social Work, or related health and human services advanced degree.
  • At least two years of working with the SUD population in a clinical setting, outpatient setting, or care coordination experience is preferred.
  • Bi-lingual / bi-cultural (Navajo / English) preferred.
  • Must have and maintain a valid New Mexico driver's license.
