Santa Fe Preparatory School is Hiring a Math Teacher Near Santa Fe, NM

Full-Time Upper School Mathematics Teacher

Santa Fe Preparatory School seeks a Mathematics Teacher eager to inspire students
and join a professional, dynamic, and collaborative faculty. We are a diverse learning
community dedicated to active inquiry and discourse. Authentic relationships, inclusive
and creative pedagogy, and deep content are foundational to our purpose.

Primary job responsibilities for full-time teachers include teaching 4-5 sections of
classes. In addition, all full-time teachers lead a community service group, participate in
grade-level retreats and outdoor education, advise a student club, actively contribute as
members of a grade-level team, and serve as an advisors to 6-10 students per year.

Preferred candidates for this position will be qualified to teach beginning algebra and
geometry through pre-calculus. Santa Fe Prep uses an integrated curriculum to prepare
students for Precalculus. Experience in leadership positions, including professional
development and pedagogy, are strong considerations for this position. Santa Fe
Preparatory School also deeply values the ability to connect and build relationships with
students with diverse learning styles and needs. A growth mindset, collegiality, flexibility,
reflectiveness, and dedication to curriculum development are qualities that define the
strongest candidates. Experience with visualization, problem-solving, and brain-based
classroom strategies are also strongly preferred.

All teaching positions begin August 2024.

Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree in the relevant academic discipline is required. A
master’s degree and three years or more of teaching experience at the secondary school
level are preferred.
