Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Warehouse Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of office processes, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently.

The warehouse is a terminal location for a national trucking company. There is customer product coming in and out of the terminal daily that needs to be accounted for. There is also an ice brick repacking line that operates approximately eight months of the year.

Staff at this location is light and you need to be able to keep yourself busy with whatever needs to be done. From accounting work to office work to packing ice bricks, you must be a team player and have the initiative to help out wherever needed.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain accurate records, including ice brick counts, and update systems as necessary
- Analyze shipping data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement
- Ensure compliance with company and governmental processes
- Communicating with customers and drivers as necessary regarding operations, safety and paperwork
- Backup facility supervisor as necessary

- Assist with ice repacking during the busy season
- Collaborate with other departments and the corporate office to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Perform office tasks such as mail review and sorting, running errands

Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or office roles
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365
- Proficiency in computer software
- Excellent understanding of numbers and documentation
- Strong work ethic and initiative
- Self starter
