Housekeeper Job Summary:

The Housekeeper is responsible for providing, maintaining, and performing day-to-day activities of the Environment Services Department. The key duties include maintaining a clean, comfortable, safe, and sanitary environment, and light maintenance duties!

Housekeeper Responsibilities:

• Performs cleaning and disinfecting of all areas according to department policy, procedures, and cleaning schedule. This includes guest rooms, office, restrooms, walls, windows, common areas, hallways, etc. with duties that include, but is not limited to:
• Ensure that work/assignment areas are clean and that equipment, tools, supplies, etc., are properly stored at all times, as well as before leaving such areas for breaks, meal times, and end of the work day.
• Perform isolation cleaning procedures in accordance with established infection control procedures. Coordinate routine/terminal isolation procedures with nursing service.
• Follow established safety precautions when performing tasks and when using equipment and supplies.
• Follow proper techniques when mixing chemicals, disinfectants, and solutions used for cleaning. Refer to manufacturer’s instructions when necessary.

Housekeeper Qualifications:

• Education: No education required.
• Fingerprint Clearance Card required.
• Minimum of six (6) months of previous Environmental Services experience OR a minimum of one (1) year of previous Customer Service experience preferred.
