Job Details

DICTATION
Role has gone a bit more senior than previously -- Long term contract, there is no plan to convert at this time.2-3 interview rounds. Manager is in Asia, not in NYC, but he would like the candidate to be onsite for one round of interviews at 1 NYP (says they are ok for people who will need to move, but I don t think that s a good idea. It s EASIER to find great guys in NYC than to get someone to move ) Non-local is ok,must be someone from the USA (not Canada or Mexico or outside the USA) MUST BE ONSITE day one. But it s easier to find great guys in NYC. (non local candidates will be encouraged to come onsite for the final round interviews, it s preferred)

Manager This position is a Technical Project manager. We want them to manage technical The main responsibilities is to work with Cyber security to understand the infrastructure (something) in the firm. Shared infrastructure. To work with people who own shared infrastrucutures Come up with an analysis to a prod to a non-prod. Curative to share for prod and non-prod.
Work with teams who are doing this -- Communicate with different teams within Cyber Security super department that own shared infrastructure to understand their infrastructure footprint and come back with reporting and how much effort this maybe to segment it or not.
Must be technical to understand networking, IP ports etc. How to something network works. Cyber security. IAM all this stuff
Hands on technical skills and understanding of Cyber Security which is important Understanding of networking and all of this:
The candidate will be part of the global team with global responsibilities of the below:
Communicate with different teams within Cyber Security super department that own shared infrastructure to understand their infrastructure footprint
Evaluate the effort and challenge to segment the shared infrastructure
Come out with report for effort on segmenting all cyber infrastructures

Majority of the team is in Asia. They are looking to hire someone in nyc to do micro segmentation - SDM / terminology and knows this stuff have them bridge the gap between asia and north America in terms of communications. So this part of the job is the general project manager, looking at milestones etc. Teams are in hong kong Singapore etc. this person will need to write emails clearly and ask questions.
Cyber security is related to non-prod. The thing they are looking for cyber security team to understand the effort to separate non-prod from prod The cyber for micro segmentation referring to a for example non-production vs productions in controls. Segmentation between environments.
Micro is focusing on granular controls in implementation. Look at one small thing at a time depending on a critical application, segment this application payments system for example segment it from the rest of the applications. A more granular
Main responsibility prod vs non- prod. This person would come up with reports on the estimated efforts to do this work for each of the cyber security teams that owns the infrastructures. Communicate and understand the infrastructure and give an estimate on how much effort it would take to actual.
Other vendors Questions Project management experience 5 plus years looking for someone coming from a Tech Project Manager background like infrastructure or security side? answer Manager will take a technical project manager with an infrastructure background. You need to understand the infrastructure maybe teleco infrastrure project manager will help. If they just have cyber security they won t be able / interested in doing this. He says Teleco and technical and It sounds the same. A technical project manager is required, but will not be doing hands on engineering, this is an analysis job and reporting and documenting analysis and estimation. Excel is good. (there is another engineer in nyc on this project focusing on the cyber security team you can work with but he s doing a second initiative)
Need any Certificaions? No
Bachelors degree is required and experience in this infrastructure to do estimation and reporting
If you had cyber security SME expert with reporting vs or a normal cyber security pm? Manager said above he preferred Infrastructure. With some cyber security to be able to do the analysis. Must know servers etc.
This is an individual contributor role no one is reporting to you. You are in charge of this project to do analysis and reporting of the prod and non-prod and the cyber security around it. Analysis / reporting
Financial background is a plus but true plus.
Do we need experience in prod and non prod and infrastructure and micro segmentation? Yes. This is a strong plus
