Security Administrator
JOB PURPOSE
Executes security controls to prevent hackers from infiltrating company information or jeopardizing e-commerce programs. Researches attempted efforts to compromise security protocols. Maintains security systems for routers and switches. Administers security policies to control access to systems. Maintains the company's firewall. Uses applicable encryption methods. Provides information to management regarding the negative impact on the business caused by theft, destruction, alteration or denial of access to information.
NATURE OF WORK
* Security event management
* Policy creation, maintenance and enforcement
* Consulting with other areas of IT, and the business in general, Naon security matters
* Risk acceptance
* After-hours work may be required
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
- Good presentation skills
- Firewall and Intrusion Prevention System Configuration
- Ability to travel occasionally on an as needed basis
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
0-2 years hands-on IT Security experience
