We can process many advanced materials, including aluminum, stainless steel, plastics, ferrous-nonferrous and other exotic alloy

Job Purpose:

The Quality Supervisor’s role is to provide plant level leadership for the Quality department. The Quality Supervisor will set vision, develop and execute plant quality activities that align with business strategy. The position will plan, coordinate and develop floor quality personnel to maintain and improve the production of products and lead continuous improvement / problem solving. 

Nature of Duties/Responsibilities

  • Works with Quality Manager to create and implement development quality plans as appropriate for staff.
  • Holds subordinates accountable and addresses poor performance.
  • Works with Manager to conduct performance reviews in a timely fashion and gives clear and honest feedback.
  • Manages MRB/RTV/RMA including perform failure analysis for all RMA
  • Oversees receiving inspections and part measurements, based on product introduction and manufacturing schedules independently
  • Problem solves quality related floor issues including generate quality report and manage scrap reduction.
  • Completes organizational reporting in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Ensures department laboratory and gage calibration is current and creates measurement best practices.
  • Update Quality System SOP and provide training to QC/QA Technician.
  • Perform CMM, Weld, Paint, Sheet Metal and Assembly integration inspection.
  • Coordinates disposition of rejected materials and assists other departments improve process performance using problem solving tools, Capability Analysis, SPC or DOE.
  • Works with supplier quality to resolve supplier related issues.
  • Monitors quality data for process control and improvement projects such as reducing costs, improving cycle time, reducing scrap and rework, etc.
  • Provides collaborative communication with plant supervisors and floor personnel on quality issues to resolve and prevent future occurrences.
  • Performs all job functions is a safe manner and maintains safety awareness
  • Reports known accidents, injuries and unsafe practices and/or conditions to supervisor. 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher preferred.
  • 4 years of related contract manufacturing environment experience.
  • CMM, Sheet Metal, Paint, Welding Inspection experience.
  • Supervising or Managerial experience preferred.
  • Intermediate or Advanced level of experience in Excel.
  • Robust problem solving skills with knowledge in Measurement, GD&T, Capability Analysis / SPC and Gage R&R.
  • Working knowledge of metrology equipment including CMM, FARO arm and scanning software.
  • Excellent verbal, written and public speaking skills.
  • Solid conflict resolution and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient computer skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Oracle experience is preferred.

Salary Range (annual): $80,000 - $110,000
