Job Purpose:

Develops, evaluates, revises, and applies technical quality assurance protocols/methods to inspect and test in-process raw materials, production equipment, and finished products. Ensures activities and items are in compliance with both company quality assurance standards and applicable government regulations. Performs analysis and identifies trends in the inspection of finished products, in-process materials and bulk raw materials, and recommends corrective actions when necessary. Ensures that established manufacturing inspection, sampling and statistical process control procedures are followed. May assure compliance to in-house and/or external specifications and standards, such as GMPs and ISO regulations. Evaluates and analyzes the efforts in organizing, documenting, and interpreting inspection support documents and records. Develops and implements plan for lean/6 Sigma deployment within the plant. Provides progress reports and action plans for lean/6 Sigma implementation.

Nature of Duties:

Education and Experience:

To be considered for this position, a candidate will possess, and demonstrate, the following skills, abilities, education, experience and characteristics:

  • Bachelor'sdegree in Engineering or similar technical discipline.
  • 5 years experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the electronic manufacturing industry
  • Six Sigma green projects and lean events train
  • Familiar with standards/specifications/regulatory compliance, including government
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact and communicate
  • Ability to read and interpret part specific technical prints and drawings
  • Solid experience with standard quality tools and documentation (PFMEA, Control Plans, Quality Plans)
  • Ability to translate customer quality requirements into executable plans
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with Agile and/or Oracle Databases and their use is highly desirable
