Materials Planner

Job Purpose:

Sanmina is looking for an organized and experienced person to fill a Materials Planner position in our Product Operations in El Paso, TX. This person will plan, schedule, and monitor the movement of materials and products throughout the manufacturing process.

Nature of Duties:

• Work with Engineering to forecast materials for new products.
• Work with Purchasing to confirm materials availability and identify orders to be expedited or placed within lead-time.
• Track and communicate part shortages.
• Make inventory movement transactions in Oracle.
• Control stocked inventory and oversee inventory cycle counts.
• Track and report status of products throughout operation.
• Support customer data and special reporting requests.
• Coordinate/review new products with Program Manager to identify initial key components.
• Coordinate with floor leads to assist with staging and identifying materials needed to fulfill customer demand.
• Provide weekly reports to Supply Chain Manager.
• Identify and resolve receiving discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Business or related field
• Requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience
