Manufacturing Process Engineer

Job Purpose:

The Manufacturing/Process Engineer will work to develop new or modify process specifications, define processing or handling equipment requirements, and review processing techniques and methods applied in the assembly and evaluation of electronics circuit board assemblies, electronics systems, and box build assemblies.. The person in this role will review product requirements with engineering staff and customers to ensure compatibility of processing methods.

Nature of Duties:

• Support the manufacturing floor daily operation, and drive continuous improvement in the manufacturing process.
• Must be able to learn and support the various MRP, and SFDC systems used to run a manufacturing operation from an Engineering standpoint, adn understand how the multiple software systems interact and affect one another.
• Compile and evaluate data to determine appropriate limits and variables for process specifications.
• Develop, apply, revise, and maintain quality standards for processing materials into products.
• Design and implement methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating products for conformance to customer and industry specifications.
• Analyze process defects and returned products and identifies corrective actions. Prepares process and quality documentation and procedures.
• Construct and manage assembly time standards and quotes.
• Use skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices; resolves a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways.
• Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
• Act independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments.
• May supervise the activities of others.
• Other tasks as directed.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or other related Engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years experience as an Engineer in a machine driven manufacturing environment, with experience in electronics assembly preferred.
• Oracle experience is highly desired.
• SFDC system experience is highly desired
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills essential.
• Successful experience in a fast paced, multitasking environment required.
• Experience with or knowledge of ITAR regulations a plus.
