Specializing in precision machining and metal fabrication, our Sanmina Newark, California facility has 15 years experience in both precision and large format solutions for industrial, semiconductor, clean technology and oil & gas markets. We provide comprehensive engineering and test capabilities: from in-house and hydrostatic leak-testing of medium and large format vacuum chambers to machining of precision stainless steel mechanisms. We have the capacity to machine components up to 3 meters. Our metal fabrication services include grinding, vacuum welding, heat treating, plating and anodizing. We can process many advanced materials, including aluminum, stainless steel, plastics, ferrous-nonferrous and other exotic alloys.

Job Purpose:

Work includes assignment planning, layout, set up, operating and making tool adjustments for various types of manual, numerically controlled and computerized machine shop equipment. Works from blueprints, process sheets and sketches to perform production tasks, which may include the cutting and shaping of metal to precision dimensions

Nature of Duties / Responsibilities:

Work includes, set up, and operate CNC Horizontal Lathes large parts up 32 inch diameter using Mori-Seiki SL65 and SL75. Works from blueprints and set up process sheets to perform production and prototype tasks.

Education and Experience:

• Must have full understanding of blueprints and GD & T.
• Communicate and work with programming to understand the manufacturing process.
•  Perform in-process inspection
• Perform tasks that require considerable judgment and initiative.
• Understands the manufacturing process and makes suggestions for improvements.
•  Requires 2 years of CNC Lathe Machinist experience.

 This is an ITAR facility and applicant must be a US Citizen or a lawful permanent resident.

Salary Range (annual): $45865 -$52000
