Specializing in precision machining and metal fabrication, our Sanmina Newark, California facility has 15 years experience in both precision and large format solutions for industrial, semiconductor, clean technology and oil & gas markets. We provide comprehensive engineering and test capabilities: from in-house and hydrostatic leak-testing of medium and large format vacuum chambers to machining of precision stainless steel mechanisms. We have the capacity to machine components up to 3 meters. Our metal fabrication services include grinding, vacuum welding, heat treating, plating and anodizing. We can process many advanced materials, including aluminum, stainless steel, plastics, ferrous-nonferrous and other exotic alloys. 

Nature of Duties/Responsibilities:

• Working with engineering aid in coordinating the launch of new/revised products including establishing goals, training team members AR, and evaluating results.
• Working with vendors performs product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and reduced lead times.
• Participate in cross-departmental customer and vendor meetings to ensure collaboration and cohesion.
• Act in a technical liaison position between internal and external engineering, planning, and manufacturing with customers.
• Apply working knowledge of best method processes within assembly and manufacturing processes.
• Create written processes, visual instructions, VSMs, and written OSM procedures to help meet scheduling and quality goals.
• Aid engineering in establishing effective and efficient work sequences as they apply to the NPI processes and well as production.
• Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and workflows to identify areas that could benefit from changes and improvements including quality.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or industrial engineering required.
• Minimum 1 year's experience in a Manufacturing Engineering role or similar.
• Experience with large format machining and or clean room assembly is a plus.
• Excellent communications skills are required within this position
• Should be familiar with MS Office and Excel, Gantt based project skills are a plus.
• Qualify candidate must be a permanent resident or US citizen
