Position Title: General Adjuster

Qualifications: must have, at minimum, a bachelor’s degree.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in providing general adjusting for residential flood claims estimating.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in providing general adjusting for commercial flood claims estimating.
  • Certified NFIP Adjuster (authorized in all 5 registration categories).

Responsibilities: The General Adjuster is a key individual responsible for working on-site or virtually, collaborating with FEMA General Adjusters on NFIP Direct RCQCs, reinspections, and addressing any other general adjusting needs. This role also entails managing any FICO needed in the light of a disaster as approved by FEMA, and may require extensive travel within the USA and U.S. Territories as directed by FEMA personnel and approved in advance by the Project Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • General Adjusting: Utilize 5 years of experience to provide expertise in general adjusting for both residential and commercial flood claims estimating.
  • Collaboration with FEMA: Work closely with FEMA General Adjusters on NFIP Direct RCQCs, reinspections, and other general adjusting needs, ensuring alignment with FEMA standards.
  • Technical Claims Issues: Address difficult technical claims issues, demonstrating a deep understanding of the complexities involved in flood claims.
  • FICO Management: Manage any FICO needed in the aftermath of a disaster, ensuring compliance with FEMA approvals and guidelines.
  • Travel: May be required to travel extensively within the USA and U.S. Territories, following directions from FEMA personnel and with prior approval from the Project Manager.

Qualities and Skills:

  • 5 years of experience in providing general adjusting for residential flood claims estimating.
  • 5 years of experience in providing general adjusting for commercial flood claims estimating.
  • Certified NFIP Adjuster (authorized in all 5 registration categories).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree as a minimum requirement.
