Service Truck-Field Technician

Team member is responsible for ensuring the company’s assets are maintained with needed repairs and maintenance.

Core Duties:

• Control the hazards you and your team members are subjected to by correcting hazards as soon as they are present
• Communicate with superintendent on jobsite before leaving, they need to know the status and a reasonable time frame of when the equipment will be available again
• Participate in the weekly hazard briefing (if possible) sharing pertinent information
• Complete time sheet with accurate info from the day’s activity
• Work to meet daily needs at job sites
• Inspect and inventory parts and supplies upon delivery
• Inspect equipment and hand tools; have deficient items repaired/replaced
• Ensure all rigging for lifting is within capacity, Blocking is to be stable and solid
• Take all necessary actions to repair the root cause of the failure
• Perform regular maintenance and repair work on equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, back hoes, boom trucks, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery
• Install, replace, re-build or repair the parts and/or equipment in a timely manner and according to specifications
• Identify the problem and cause of failure through logical troubleshooting steps
• Test the part or equipment and perform quality check after work is complete
• Keep equipment, trucks and trailers clean, neat, and orderly
• Regularly will work near moving mechanical parts, outdoor weather conditions, regularly lift over 25 pounds, frequently 26 to 50 pounds, and could occasionally lift from 51 – 100 pounds.
• Professionalism is a badge that is yours to hold and yours to lose. When you leave the work area, leave no trash, old parts, rags, packaging, etc.
• Communicate time away from work with your team leader and other team members with sufficient notice to make plans for changing personnel to focus on the priorities
• Willingness to work hours as required

Education/Training/Certification:

• Class B CDL with Hazmat
• OSHA Training
• Technical Training
• Forklift
• MSHA Training
• First Aid/CPR
