Sandwich Public Schools seeks a School Psychologist to provide psychological services to students aged 2 through 22 years old who live within the town of Sandwich. These services include psychoeducational assessments, collection and interpretation of system-wide data, direct instruction, and collaboration with other professionals.

This position is for our combined Oak Ridge School (Grades 3-6) and STEM (Grades 7 & 8).

Responsibilities:

• Provides comprehensive services in a role aligned with NASP (National Association of School Psychologists) Best Practices
• Provides psychological and educational evaluations, to include threat assessments, in a timely manner for Sandwich students 
• Participates in IEP (Individualized Educational Program) Meetings in order to assist the Team in determining eligibility as well as to provide appropriate recommendations for the student being evaluated
• Participates in building-based student support teams that incorporate the MTSS (Massachusetts Tiered Systems of Support) framework in order to ensure data-driven decision-making, progress monitoring, and evidence-based supports and strategies are consistently implemented throughout each school
• Provides teachers and other professionals through consultation and collaboration in order to ensure that students find success in the least restrictive educational environment.
• Provides social skills, social pragmatic, counseling services, and crisis management as needed.
• Works cooperatively with school and district staff to enhance the services offered to all students.
• Performs other related duties as requested by the Director of Pupil Services.

Qualifications:

• Licensed as a School Psychologist by the Massachusetts Department of Education, required.
• Ability to efficiently write comprehensive evaluations as well as informative reports, required.
• Preferred candidates will have knowledge and experience utilizing the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
