Sandstone Healthcare Group is Hiring a Dietary Manager/ FULL TIME Near American Fork, UT

Sandstone American Fork is looking for a Director of Culinary Services to join our Leadership Team!

The Director of Culinary Services works under the direction of the Administrator and is an active member of the Interdisciplinary Care Team. The Director of Culinary Services is responsible for all aspects of budgeting, purchasing, storage, preparation and service of meals to our 106 beds facility. 

Job Responsibilities & Duties Include:

  • Implement diets and menus for review by the consultant.
  • Order food and supplies according to the menus prepared by the consultant.
  • Interview residents and or responsible parties and determine specific dietary needs and preferences.
  • Maintain resident's dietary profile and resident dietary assessment and care plan.
  • Plan food substitutions for residents who refuse or are unable to eat food served.
  • Maintain resident records including meal census, menus, diet cardex, diet roster, diets served and purchase records.
  • Ensures that all required documentation for the Dietary Department, resident care plan, and MDS records.
  • Implement dietary policies and procedures.
  • Supervises and schedules all Cooks and Dietary Aides.
  • Assume responsibility for compliance with sanitation requirements
  • Maintain food and labor costs within the dietary budget.

Minimum Requirements:

  • ServSafe Manager Certification
  • SNHD Certified Food Safety Manager Card
  • 3 Years Experience in Healthcare Dietary
  • 2 Years Leadership Experience
  • COVID Vaccination (Medical and Religious Exemptions will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.)
  • CDM Credential
  • Ability to Pass NABS Fingerprint Background and Drug Test
  • High School or GED Equivalent
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend the English Language fluently.
