Position: Academic and Vocational Advisor

Location: Colorado Springs | Cascade Colorado 

Schedule: Monday-Thursday

Job Type: Part Time

Compensation: $20 Hourly

Do you want to help adolescents and young adults overcome their substance use and mental health challenges and achieve their academic and career goals? If so, you might be the perfect fit for the academic/vocational advisor role at Sandstone.

As an academic/vocational advisor, you will:

  • Help our clients with their schoolwork, such as math, English, essays, and exams.
  • Assist our clients with their career development, such as college or job applications, resumes, interviews, and presentations.
  • Collaborate with our clinical team to ensure that our clients are making progress in both their personal and professional lives.

Qualifications:

  •  Required
    • At least 1 year of teaching / tutoring experience or academic/career coach/academic advisor/vocational advisor experience (teaching license a plus, but not required!)
    • Understanding of Social emotional learning
    • Understanding of MH care presentations / field
  • Preferred
    • Strong experience with Math and English Experience with special education, learning differences, familiarity with 504s/IEPs
    • College level experience
