Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Long-Term Care Administrator to join our team. As an Administrator, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations and providing leadership in the management of our senior care facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in senior care and possess excellent leadership and organizational skills. A clinical background is a plus.
Duties:
- Develop and implement care plans for residents, ensuring their individual needs are met
- Manage and supervise a team of nurses and caregivers, providing guidance and support
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the facility, including staffing, scheduling, and budgeting
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide quality care to residents
- Implement policies and procedures to maintain a safe and secure environment for residents and staff
- Handle any issues or concerns raised by residents or their families in a professional and timely manner
- Provide support and guidance to staff in delivering dementia care services
- Create and Maintain budget
- Oversee billing and set fees
- Act as the ‘face’ of the organization to the governing board, the public, and residents’ families; and as a liaison between staff, residents, and families
- Coordinate with marketing

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or a related field (preferred)
- Current Long-Term Care Administrators (NHA) license
- Clinical degree (not required, but preferred)
- Proven experience in senior care administration or a similar role
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Financial acumen to manage budgets effectively
- Knowledge of dementia care best practices
- Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and staff
- Deep understanding of both the clinical and business aspects of running an acute care or nursing facility.

Given the 24/7 nature of nursing homes, the Administrator will often work non-standard hours, and/or more than forty hours per week, and may be on-call on nights, weekends, and holidays. Most time is spent interacting with residents, families and staff, or in meetings, and requires excellent skills in time and stress management, a calm, patient, and professional demeanor, and deep understanding of both the clinical and business aspects of running an acute care or nursing facility.
