Sandia Resort And Casino is Hiring a TABLE GAMES SCHEDULING SUPERVISOR Near Albuquerque, NM

Position Summary

Reports directly to the Director of Table Games and is responsible for developing and implementing schedules for the Table Games Department. Works with management to schedule employee work hours to provide consistent staffing and utilize manpower efficiently. The Table Games Scheduler maintains departmental employee personnel files, assists Director of Table Games with office administration and filing of all office documents and provides assistance to all Table Games personnel with days off requests, PTO requests, bereavement, payroll and all other administrative issues.

Supervision Exercised

Supervised by the Director of Table Games Operations and Table Games Manager.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and maintains constant verbal and written correspondence with the Human Resource Department regarding hiring, terminations, benefits, and all personnel issues.
  • Provides support to department personnel on all PTO requests, payroll issues, and all other administrative issues. Ensures that all concerns are resolved in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Monitors and maintains all time keeping functions of department personnel.
  • Coordinates and monitors all employee work schedules for adequate staffing of manpower.
  • Coordinates and monitors all scheduling activities ensuring that all deadlines are met.
  • Provides assistance to the Director of Table Games Operations and the Table Games Manager in the operation of the department.
  • Ensures proper follow through to completion of all Director of Table Games Operations directives.
  • Organizational and administrative support of special projects.
  • Implements office administrative procedures and practices.
  • Maintains confidentiality and security of department documents.
  • Maintains departmental employee personnel files.
  • Coordinates and monitors all scheduling activities, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Reviews scheduling changes, verifies, and notifies management personnel of problem areas.
  • Maintains time and attendance statistical database.
  • Types and reviews correspondence, reports and other material.
  • Files and retrieves information from manual and/or computer automated files according to established office procedures.
  • Receives telephone calls and visitors, and directs to appropriate staff or provides necessary information as needed.
  • Sorts, distributes mail, sends and retrieves FAX documents.
  • Maintains adequate office inventory supply.
  • Copies and assembles materials for distribution.
  • Ensures receipt of all paperwork/approvals in a timely manner.

  • Ability to develop, and implement work schedules.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Directors and Casino personnel.
  • Ability to write and prepare standard reports and documents.
  • Ability to work odd and unusual hours.
  • Ability to supervise and direct the work of all assigned employees.
  • Ability to type 45 wpm or more.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately in an atmosphere of frequent interruptions.
  • Ability to exercise tact, courtesy and initiative in handling routine problems.
  • Knowledge of general office procedures.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision.
  • Ability to exercise sound personal management practices and exhibits a strong motivational commitment to the organization.
  • Excellent judgment and negotiating skills.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.

Minimum Qualifications, Education and Experience

Required:

  • High School Diploma, GED Certification or equivalent.
  • One (1) year scheduling, office or clerical experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

Licensing Status

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required Gaming License.
  • Will require a post-offer, pre-employment and random drug screening.
