If you have a Medical Portable Electronic Device (MedPED), such as a pacemaker, defibrillator, drug-releasing pump, hearing aids, or diagnostic equipment and other equipment for measuring, monitoring, and recording body functions such as heartbeat and brain waves, if employed by Sandia National Laboratories you may be required to comply with NNSA security requirements for MedPEDs.

• Five or more years of administrative support, customer service, or other relevant experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an active DOE Q-level security clearance.

• High school diploma
• Experience in one or more major security areas: information security, physical security, personnel security, or cyber security
• Knowledge and experience with various requirements related to the protection of confidential information (e.g., Personally Identifiable Information)
• Ability to work independently within a diverse, dynamic, and changing customer base environment
• Experience in audits, inventory, assessments, and data entry/analysis
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, critical thinking skills, and a focus on customer service
• Broad understanding of SNL programs, policies, organizations, procedures, and administrative systems as well as familiarity with DOE directives and especially Safeguards and Security related requirements
• Experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other MS Office products

Personnel Security includes the Badge Office, Clearance Office, Uncleared Personal Identify Verification Program, Human Reliability Program, and Background Review Office We ensure positive access control for DOE resources through the issuance of DOE badges, the processing of security clearances and visits, as well as administration of the Human Reliability Program. Additionally, we conduct background investigations on potential employees of Sandia and visitors requiring site access.

Sandia is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, law enforcement records, and employment/education verifications.
