NNSA Requirements for MedPEDs

If you have a Medical Portable Electronic Device (MedPED), such as a pacemaker, defibrillator, drug-releasing pump, hearing aids, or diagnostic equipment and other equipment for measuring, monitoring, and recording body functions such as heartbeat and brain waves, if employed by Sandia National Laboratories you may be required to comply with NNSA security requirements for MedPEDs.

If you have a MedPED and you are selected for an on-site interview at Sandia National Laboratories, there may be additional steps necessary to ensure compliance with NNSA security requirements prior to the interview date.

Salary Range

$100,900 - $195,400

  • Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.

What Your Job Will Be Like

We are seeking a Facilities Asset Management Program Lead (job title: Operations and Engineering Lead) to join our Partnership and Planning Department. The asset management lead is responsible for developing and overseeing the asset management program to ensure that existing and future building, system, and utility assets on the CA campus are planned effectively to meet Sandia’s current and future mission requirements.

On any given day, you may be called on to:

  • Lead, develop, and oversee the Asset Management program in CA
  • Interpret and comply with DOE, NNSA, and Sandia directives, policies, and guidelines
  • Develop and implement asset management strategic goals
  • Conduct facility audits, condition assessments, and data validation and document across various data platforms
  • Implement graded, risk-based approach to assure safety-related and mission-critical assets receive appropriate priority
  • Effectively lead and collaborate with operations and maintenance to determine effective maintenance strategies to preserve assets in a condition suitable for its designated purpose
  • Establish asset management standards, processes, and procedures
  • Collaborate with corporate peers on strategic improvement initiatives

Qualifications We Require

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Five more more years of relevant experience in areas such as facilities asset management or maintenance planning
  • Ability to drive assurance activities and processes; including Structured Improvement Activities and assessments, corrective actions, training, and resource acquisition
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance

  • Advanced communication, facilitation, collaboration, interpersonal and problem-solving skills necessary to effectively interact with and advise all levels of management, project engineers, maintenance personnel, and customers
  • Strong computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (e.g. Maximo)

The team develops and maintains effective strategic customer partnerships and integrates F&I plans into the investment and planning strategies. Security Clearance
