EMPLOYER: Alta Southwest DEPARTMENT: Geotechnical/CMTI 

 REPORTS TO: Matt Flores PROJECT LOCATION: Near Patagonia, AZ

 EFFECTIVE DATE: immediate

 SUMMARY: Alta Southwest has an immediate need for experienced Construction Materials Field Engineers who possess field and/or lab certifications. Starting hourly compensation is $25 to $30 per hour plus expected overtime pay, per diem, cell phone reimbursement, company truck, insurance benefits and project completion bonus!! This is a project based position including day or night shifts expected, 50-60 hours per week with weekend and holiday shifts.

 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Consistently shows up for work as scheduled
• Works in a field setting in a close proximity to construction activity and heavy construction equipment
• Strictly adhere to OSHA, MSHA and company safety guidelines.
• Adhere to Alta Southwest company policies. 
• Travel is required with this position. Candidates must stay within 1 hour of the project site between work shifts in order to meet the schedule demands.
• Prepare daily field reports documenting the test results.
• Independently operate relevant testing equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Arizona driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Experience in soil, concrete, construction, materials laboratory, testing and inspection preferred
• ACI & ATTI Certifications or equivalent
• Good written and verbal skills.

 PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Continually required to walk and/or stand. Up to 10 hours daily
• Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity. 8-9 hours daily
• Frequently required to lift/push/carry items up to 50 pounds.
• Frequently work in elevated surfaces, environmental conditions such as rain, wind, snow, and extreme heat.
