The successful candidate will play a crucial role in project management, engineering design, and environmental compliance. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Environmental Engineering:
    • Conduct environmental assessments, site investigations, and feasibility studies.
    • Design and implement engineering solutions for environmental projects.
    • Prepare technical reports and documentation for regulatory submissions.
    • Air/wastewater/stormwater permitting. Development, submission, revisions, etc.
    • Develop air emission estimates for industrial processes and related operations.
    • Prepare and update plans (mainly SWPPPs and SPCCs).
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    • Stay current with environmental regulations and ensure project compliance.
    • Interact with regulatory agencies to obtain necessary permits and approvals.
  • Client Interaction:
    • Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships by understanding their needs and providing effective solutions.
    • Communicate project progress, finds, and recommendations to clients in a clear and concise manner.
  • Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including scientists, engineers, and project managers, to achieve project goals.
    • Mentor junior staff and provide technical guidance as needed.
  • Project Management:
    • Manage environmental projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
    • Coordinate with project leaders, clients, and regulatory agencies to facilitate smooth project execution.

Job Qualifications: 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty proficiently. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus. 
  • Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in environmental engineering and project management or related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance requirements. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Experience with environmental assessment tools and software.
  • Professional certifications are a plus.
  • Ability to travel to clients sites as needed.
