Sander Mechanical Service is Hiring a Purchasing Coordinator Near Branchburg, NJ

Company Overview: Sander Mechanical Service, LLC is a growing mechanical contractor located in Branchburg, NJ that specializes in commercial/industrial HVAC service, maintenance and installation as well as providing building automation and technical specialty services.

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Purchasing Coordinator to join our team. This office-based role will efficient operation of our purchasing processes. This individual will be responsible for purchasing activities, maintaining records, and ensuring accurate delivery of supplies to support our needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Vendor Management:
  • Maintain or help identify relationships with reliable vendors and suppliers.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms to ensure the best value for the company.
  • Continuously evaluate vendor performance and seek improvement.
  • Material Procurement:
  • Receive and review purchase requisitions from all staff/departments.
  • Source materials, equipment, and supplies required for projects while adhering to budgetary constraints or negotiating lower at point-of-sale.
  • Create and submit purchase orders to approved vendors and suppliers.
  • Inventory Management:
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and track levels of specific stock supplies.
  • Coordinate with various personnel to ensure proper handling of inventory.
  • Conduct occasional inventory audits to identify discrepancies and implement corrective measures.
  • Order Tracking and Follow-Up:
  • Monitor the status of purchase orders and track deliveries to ensure timely receipt of materials.
  • Communicate with vendors and internally about issues or delays in delivery.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping:
  • Maintain up-to-date records of purchasing activities and part ETA.
  • Prepare occasional reports or analysis related to purchasing performance, cost savings, and inventory management.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in the construction or mechanical contracting industry.
  • Negotiation skills and ability to communicate with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with inventory management systems, ERP software and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Benefits: Weekly or hourly salary/wage, annual bonus eligibility, paid vacation time, 401k, medical benefits, company PC and cellular device.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
