Position Summary:
The preoperative / postoperative registered nurse is responsible for delivery of patient care in the preoperative and postoperative periods of the patient’s surgical experience through the framework of the nursing process.
Position Qualifications:
Minimum Education:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
Minimum Experience/Skills:
Pre-Op: minimum of two (2) years recent Pre-Op nursing experience
PACU: minimum of two (2) years recent PACU nursing experience, including Phase I and Phase II
Licenses/Certificates/Credentials:
Current California Registered Nurse License
Current Basic Life Support (BCLS) card
Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) card
Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) card
Certification in specialty preferred
Completion of moderate sedation class (.edu) - (must complete within 30 days of hire/ transfer)
