Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced, Registered Dental Assistant to join our team. Alongside every successful dentist is a skilled and dedicated dental assistant who possesses a thorough understanding of common dental procedures, remains focused, and ensures smooth operations. What You Will Do

  • Ensures treatment room is stocked, sterilized and setup for each appointment.
  • Readies patients for dental treatment by welcoming, comforting, seating, and draping patients.
  • Updates patient health history and personal information upon each visit.
  • Collaborates with other clinical staff to maintain the cleanliness and organization of lab and treatment rooms.
  • Charts procedures to include patient conditions, medical and dental histories, treatment procedures and patient comments.
  • Ensures all x-rays are up to date for the day’s procedures.
  • Ensures all x-rays are clear, clinically accurate, uploaded and labeled correctly.
  • Performs coronal polishing procedures as needed.
  • Reinforces treatment recommendations and educates patients on recommended procedures.
  • Charts and documents all procedures performed and outlines the next steps in treatment plans.
  • Maintains up-to-date periodontal charting, notifying the hygienist when needed.
  • Coordinates the office recall system with the hygienist, to ensure future appointments are scheduled before the patient leaves the operatory.
  • Ensures all treatment plans and consent forms are signed and on file.
  • Maintains inventory in hygiene rooms and assists with instrument sterilization as needed.
  • Assist in monitoring and confirming appointments as workload permits.
  • Maintain accurate records of all lab cases and conduct quality checks on lab work.
  • Assists the team in cleaning the office (trash, floors, restrooms, instruments, etc.).
  • Other duties as assigned by Lead RDA or Ops Leader.

What You Will Have

  • High school diploma/GED; Associate’s degree or higher preferred
  • Must hold a valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) in accordance with state regulations.
  • Demonstrated experience working as a dental assistant, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical office setting.
  • Experience with orthodontics, Invisalign, and assisting with dental implant surgeries is a plus.
  • Skilled in operating iTero scanners using best practices and techniques.
  • Skilled in creating temporary bridges and crowns.
  • Certification in CPR.
  • Knowledge of dental clinic procedures encompassing receiving, routing and scheduling patients, ordering supplies, and requesting related services.
  • Possesses knowledge of lab scripts, boxing, preparation, and logging procedures.
  • Ability to perform dental procedures, take x-rays, and chart patient information.
  • Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods.
  • Knowledge and skill in detecting signs of syncope, shock, or other side reactions to dental treatment in patients.
  • Thorough computer skills utilizing software used to store and retrieve patient and office information.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and preventative measures (HIPAA confidentiality, infection spread, etc.).
  • Dedication to providing compassionate patient care, ensuring patient comfort, safety, and satisfaction throughout their dental experience.
  • Working knowledge of the English language; excellent oral and written communication.

Schedule:

  • Monday - Friday 8am-5pm, Off of Tuesday and the weekend.
