San Luis Equipment Rental is Hiring a Dispatcher Near San Bernardino, CA

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our team. As a Dispatcher, you will play a crucial role in coordinating transportation activities and ensuring the efficient movement of equipment rental transportations. Your expertise in transportation management and dispatching will contribute to the success of our operations.

Duties:

- Coordinate and schedule transportation activities, including assigning drivers and vehicles for deliveries

- Communicate with drivers to provide instructions, updates, and any necessary information

- Monitor the progress of deliveries and address any issues or delays that may arise

- Utilize transportation management systems to track shipments and maintain accurate records

- Analyze transportation data to optimize routes, reduce costs, and improve efficiency

- Collaborate with internal teams, such as supply chain and 3PL partners, to ensure seamless operations

- Maintain effective communication with customers to provide updates on delivery status and address any concerns

- Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints in a professional and timely manner

- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies

Skills:

- Strong knowledge of transportation management principles and practices

- Experience in dispatching within the freight or supply chain industry

- Proficiency in using transportation management systems, such as Oracle Transportation Management or similar software

- Excellent analytical skills to analyze transportation data and make informed decisions

- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment

- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional phone etiquette

- Strong problem-solving abilities to address issues or delays effectively
