Director, Secondary Learning and Achievement 2024-25
San Luis Coastal Unified School District represents the communities of Avila, Edna Valley, Los Osos, Morro Bay, and San Luis Obispo and currently has an enrollment of approximately 7,500 students. Small neighborhood schools are a hallmark of the District where students are educated from preschool through twelfth grade and a world-class adult school program offers unique, life-improving courses to thousands of community members.
The Director of Secondary Learning and Achievement guides the development and implementation of Secondary curriculum, instruction, and assessment. A major component of the Director’s responsibility is the supervision, engagement, and coaching of principals in their implementation of student learning and achievement plans. This position works closely with the Director of Elementary Learning and Achievement to develop an aligned and articulated instructional program between and among the various grade levels of the District; leads administrators and instructional staff in identifying and implementing strategies to support diverse student groups in order to close the achievement gap.
A Valid California credential in Administrative Services (or certificate of eligibility).Must have relevant experience as a High School Administrator. Additional Middle school Administrator experience is desired.This position will work closely alongside the Director of Elementary Learning and Achievement and will need strong interpersonal and communication skills.
