Position Overview

As a Uniform Room/Alterations Attendant at the SAP Center, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that all staff members maintain a professional and polished appearance. You will oversee the uniform room operations, including distribution of uniforms, conducting alterations as required for proper fit, managing inventory, assisting with laundry services, and upholding cleanliness standards in the work area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Uniform Management and Inventory Control:
    • Maintain accurate inventory records and provide monthly reports of inventory status/needs to the Office Manager.
    • Ensure that the Uniform Room has on hand all the grooming and uniform supplies that are provided at no cost.
    • Manage uniform part shipments in ABI Inventory/Wardrobe Management system to update stock or create categories for new items as needed.
    • Ensure nametags are ordered as required for new hires and replacements.
    • Keep uniform parts in good repair, clean, and retire faded/worn-out items as needed.
    • Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the Uniform Room.
  • Uniform Fittings:
    • May be held during New Hire Orientation, Skills Training or scheduled as needed.
    • Provide new hires with properly fitted SAP Center uniforms, conducting alterations as necessary.
  • Event Operations:
    • Maintain and issue all radios, radio accessories, and earplugs to ushers for each event.
    • Conduct fittings, alterations or reissue/replace uniform parts as needed during events.
    • Generate End of Event reports.
  • Administrative Tasks:
    • Maintain Uniform Database in ABI Inventory/Wardrobe Manager, accurately recording issued, exchanged, and retired uniform parts.
    • Conduct locker audits.
    • Inventory items at the end of hockey season.
    • Perform other tasks and projects as requested.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in seamstress skills, capable of performing basic alterations efficiently.
  • Display a positive attitude and enthusiasm in all interactions with guests and staff.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Willingness to work occasional extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays with advance notice.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, and utilize a computer for extended periods.
  • Effective communication via phone and email.
  • Capability to bend, reach overhead, and lift up to 25 lbs with or without accommodation.
  • Physically navigate stairs and catwalks ladder at SSE facilities during normal work hours and events with or without accommodation
