HOW YOU WILL IMPACT OUR MISSIONThe Buildings and Grounds Attendant will support San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance’s mission of saving species worldwide by keeping all assigned areas clean, sanitary, safe, and orderly. This position will report to the Buildings and Grounds Supervisor, Manager, and/or Senior Operations Manager. WHAT YOU WILL DOMaintains cleanliness of tools, equipment and vehiclesCleans patios, walkways, streets, and other public areasCleans tables, chairs, benches, signs, umbrellas and awningsEmpties and cleans trash/recycle containersCollects trash and debrisSorts recycled materialsLoads debris and refuse on trucksCleans, maintains and restocks restroomsOperates trucks and/or carts used in cleaning operationsSteam cleans and/or pressure washes bins, grounds, equipment and vehiclesCleans interiors of buildingsPolishes stainless steel and brass surfacesWashes windows, cleans walls, blinds and furniturePerforms minor and routine utility maintenance repairsSupports the management team and decisionsConsistently meets all of the organization and department’s performance standardsMaintains a high level of professionalism WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FORSan Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance is seeking a candidates that are able to work a flexible schedule potentially including weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays.
