San Diego Unified School District is Hiring a Central Office Resource Teacher - Children and Youth in Transition Near San Diego, CA

Description

The Central Office Resource Teacher (CORT) position is a full time 11 month vacancy.
The Children and Youth in Transition Department has one full-time, 11-month, four-year grant-funded, math resource teacher vacancy supporting the Operation Learning Experiences Advancing Academic Progress (LEAAP) DoDEA grant to five elementary school sites and one middle school site.

Examples of Duties

Duties will include but not limited to the following:

  • Developing and co-facilitating professional learning for administrators, educators, and math tutors.
  • Collaborating with other members of our UTK-12 math leadership team and district department teams.
  • Co-developing a professional learning plan with site leaders and educators.
  • Team-teaching with a site educator.
  • Leading lesson study for teams of educators.
  • Support with the development and implementation of tutor schedule.

Minimum Qualifications

Qualified applicants must have a valid California multiple subject and/or a single subject mathematics credential. Applicant's credential must be attached to their application and registered with the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing by the close of the posting. Applicants must have a valid California driver’s license and be prepared to conduct, participate in, and travel to sites, professional development sessions, workshops, and meetings.
Classroom experience teaching math; experience leading/providing professional development to adult learners; experience working as a team to achieve goals of the grant
