The San Diego Freedom Ranch has provided Alcohol and Drug Treatment Services to the Residents of San Diego County for over 50 years. We are expanding our current treatment services to include the addition of Incidental Medical Services, including prescribing Medication Assisted Treatments for the provision of Detoxification and Treatment Services.

Duties Include:

• RN’s work under the supervision of either the Medical Director and Nurse Practitioner in administering pharmacological agents via oral, intramuscular, intradermal, and subcutaneous injections.
• Provide MAT services to clients on an individual and group level.
• Supervises the IMS team, assisting the Nurse Practitioner with, scheduling, training, and coaching of the medical staff.
• Check vital signs and documents them accordingly
• Change dressings and bandages, ensuring residents are healing properly
• Assist residents in activities of daily living as needed
• Over-seeing client self-administered medications
• Collaborate on psychiatric intervention plans and resident’s treatment plans
• Provide providing basic mental and behavioral health support to residents and their families within a multidisciplinary team that helps to improve the wellbeing to the served population
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to conduct and/or participate in meetings, treatment, discharge planning, coordination of care, and case management
• Participates in peer reviews to improve quality of clinical services
• Assists in maintaining a safe and secure environment for staff and residents
• Partners with residents to help them achieve their own recovery and treatment plan goals.
• Conduct intake screening
• Update resident’s records in a confidential manner
• Evaluate the resident’s wellbeing, reporting any needs to supervising licensed staff
• Explaining the administered pharmacological agents and performed treatments to residents
• Perform Intradermal skin tests and phlebotomy if the RN has successfully completed a course to demonstrate competency in the area.
• Documents all services provided
• Monitoring of Detoxification and Residential Clients including

Requirements:

Complete Employment Physical, TB Testing, Background Check

Have a Valid RN License.
