Medical Biller

We are looking for a bright, team-orientated individual to add to our Billing Department. The qualified candidate should have a minimum of two years experience, excellent time management, attention to detail and data entry skills. As a medical biller, you will also submit claims and follow up with insurance companies.

Duties:

• Prepare and submits clean claims to insurance companies either electronically or by paper.
• Handle patient inquiries and Answer questions from patients, clerical staff and insurance companies.
• Identify and resolve patient billing complaints.
• Process payments from insurance companies.
• Verifies all diagnostic procedural codes from the EMR using current ICD-10 and CPT coding classifications.
• Communicate effectively with revenue cycle manager to assure proper reimbursement.
• Resolved denial instances
• Issues adjusted, corrected and/or rebilled claims to third party payors.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of Medi-Cal, Managed Care, HMO and PPO, private insurance billing rules and reimbursement.
• At least 2 years of medical billing, and claim processing in FQHC setting
• Knowledge of basic medical coding and third party operating procedures and practices
• Strong keyboard skills.
• Strong background in full revenue cycle billing.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
