Job Duties/Essential Functions:

• Verbally communicate with Guests and Team Members.
• Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules.
• Warn violators of premises rules and violations.
• Apprehend violators, to include on foot pursuits when necessary.
• Complete accurate reports of all situations that involve the safety and security of the guests and employees in a timely manner and distributing all reports to all department managers involved in the situations.
• Observe the security monitors for any unusual activity and in the case of suspicious behavior report directly, via radio, to the supervisor on duty; report any alarms similarly.
• Responsible for all lost and found property turned into the officer until such property is returned to the Manager on Duty or owner of property.
• Attentive to the radio and be alert for any emergency situation.
• Coordinate expedient response to emergency conditions such as fire, fire or safety hazards and threats to life and/or property in a calm, rational and persuasive manner.
• Assist and cooperate with local law enforcement agencies in difficult, potentially violent situations.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Skills/Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or other related fields and has current Guard Card.
• Familiarity with security equipment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong ethical conduct.
• Communication proficiency.
• Able to work in a team-oriented culture

Physical Requirements:

• At least 21 years of age.
• Ability to handle physical workload, including lifting up to 40 lbs.
