San Bernardino Community College District is Hiring a Federal Work Study - DSPS - High Tech Center Near San Bernardino, CA
Salary: Location: Job Type: Department: Job Number: Closing: Job Description Disabled Student Programs & Services (DSPS,) is seeking motivated high achieving students to assist with general support in the High Tech Center. The ideal candidate will possess good communication skills (both written and verbal) and be able to work well as part of a team and individually. Student worker will assist with the duties below. The duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed. The omission of specific statements and duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment to the High-Tech Center.
Assist in providing general support in the High Tech Center by assisting with monitoring the computer lab area to ensure compliance with District policy
Assist students with log in inquiries, assisting with MS Office programs, educational software, printing slide shows and document attachments, proof reading, proper formatting, and saving documents.
Establishing and maintaining cooperative and effective working relationships with others, including those from a diverse academic, and economic, cultural, disability, gender entity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, faculty and staff.
Qualifications Minimum Requirements:
Student must have in possession of a Federal Work Study award letter for the 2022/2023 academic years
Student cannot fall below half-time (6 units) during their employment under the FWS program.
Students must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)
Student must possess basic knowledge and skill with computer programs for example utilizing a network email system, Canvas and Microsoft Office. Additional instructional systems if applicable
Minimum 2.00 cumulative grade point average.
Must complete TB test at time of employment
Employment Requirements Hours:
Maximum of 15 hours per week
Schedule will vary within the scheduled lab hours from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday
