Senior Microsoft D365 Developer

Position

SAS has a need for a Senior Microsoft 365 Developer who will lead the D365 Development and Support team in the continued migration of business areas to the D365 ERP system as well as defining and implementing new business requirements and planning and executing upgrades.

Job Responsibilities 

The individual in this role will be in charge of identifying, troubleshooting and resolving performance issues at the code and database layers and will have hands-on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations developer responsibilities for the maintenance, version updates and configuring Dynamics MSD365FO modules at SAS Shoemakers. Additional responsibilities will include defining and tracking progress toward long-term plans for acquiring and enabling efficient and cost-effective information processing and communication technologies.

 Additional duties include, but are not limited to: 

  •  Program design, coding, testing, debugging, documentation and support of Dynamics 365 customizations (for all business areas Finance, Sales, Retail, Purchasing, Manufacturing and Distribution)
  • Assisting organizations in architecting, planning, testing and deploying Dynamics 365 F&O solutions (expert level knowledge required)
  • Participating with the business departments in requirements gathering, analysis, and specification, providing technical expertise and recommendations 
  • Cross training of development staff on D365.
  • Utilizing proper source control practices through TFS (Team Foundation Services).
  • Participating in system upgrades, scoping and code migrations.
  • Evaluating upgrade paths and continued implementation of business areas into the D365 environment. Coordinate and perform database refreshes
  • Monitoring performance on all Dynamics 365 environments.
  • Managing and maintaining system integrations to other internal and external systems.
  • Assisting in maintaining software licenses, user access and security roles.
  • Managing and coordinating with Microsoft to resolve raised system issues.
  • Performing other related tasks to ensure on-going secure and supported system.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and/or Evidence of Exceptional Ability
  • MCP D365 technical certification
  • 5 years of D365 development experience in X , creation and modification, and unit testing with at least 2 year on D365 F&O
  • 3 years’ experience with Microsoft SQL Server & T-SQL
  • 2 years’ experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server
  • Development for at least two D365 implementations that achieved go-live – with at least one being on premise implementation
  • Experience in troubleshooting database performance issues
  • Experience in installation/configuration & upgrades
  • Experience with LCS and deployments
  • Possess a proven record delivering software from inception to deployment using structured development practices and methodologies.
  • Be detail oriented with an ability to produce high quality solutions and learn new technologies quickly in a dynamic environment.
  • Have strong leadership skills that are displayed through leading by example, with respect and empathy for co-workers, their team and the company.
  • Possess excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Professionalism: The Senior Developer must conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times and be comfortable in both a leadership and team-player role.
  • Must be able to sit or stand for 8 – 10 hours.

Preferred:

  • Possess general business process, and development knowledge in one or more areas of finance, including GL, AP and AR.
  • Have inventory and Warehouse Management support experience.
  • Have manufacturing and MRP experience.
