Position Description:
SALES AMBASSADOR
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
The Sales Ambassador is responsible for effectively assisting in Sales Administrative and office functions. Monitors sales, answers phones, processes bookings, enters leads, and books repeat business while keeping quality consistently high. Serves as a liaison between the customer and venue. Reports directly to and assists Sr. Manager for Sales & Events.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provide a signature guest experience through outstanding customer service.
Provide support to Event Coordinator for large-scale events.
Respond to and answer incoming leads, determine the needs of the guest, take details and qualify event inquiries by giving the customer initial information within 1 business day of inquiry.
Monitor leads for Group Sales based on sales and attendance goals set with Senior Manager of Sales.
Maintain accurate records and prepare multiple reports.
Identify and pursue strategic opportunities for streamlining administrative processes.
Maintain database and track Group Sales leads, inquiries, lost business, sales revenue, and provide ongoing status reports to Senior Manager.
Process all phases of group contracts; book reservations, create invoices, secure deposits and payments for group sales & events through Altru and Tripleseat.
Coordinate with Event Service Manager staff to schedule and confirm Group Sales reservations.
Follow up with group sales customers to determine satisfaction through survey link.
Process department payments, receipts, and check requests.

Work with internal and external teams on sales tools needed.
Maintain an awareness of department and companys goals in the areas of customer service, revenue expectations, and employee relations.
Maintains knowledge of Garden programs and events.
Develop, maintain, and promote positive and professional relationships with internal staff, volunteers, members, vendors, contractors, media, and the general public in order to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
Assist and perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Requires some event planning or coordination experience. A bachelors degree is preferred.
Bi-lingual or multi-lingual is a plus.
Communicate well with guests in person, by phone, and by email. Remain polite, courteous and helpful at all times.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Ability to successful pass a criminal background check.
Evenings, weekend and/or holiday work may be required to deliver programs or to provide staff support to events.
Occasional bending, stooping, reaching, crouching or light lifting (up to 50 lbs).
Prolonged periods of standing, walking or delivering programs in varying environmental conditions.
COMPENSATION:
Compensation will be commensurate with the qualifications and experience of the individual.
