Hello,
My name is Naomi, I am working with a non-profit Community Health Center serving the medically-underserved population of Monsey, NY. We are seeking an experienced Dermatology Physician Assistant to work alongside our Dermatologist full-time or part-time. We offer a very competitive hourly rate and a wonderful working environment.
We offer linguistically-diverse and culturally sensitive health care to our patients. With over 60 healthcare providers, we offer a wide range of services including Adult Medicine, Pediatrics, Family Practice, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Dentistry/Oral Surgery, Allergy, Dermatology, Endocrinology, Nutrition Counseling, Occupational Therapy, Ophthalmology, Optometry, Podiatry, Speech Therapy, and Urology.
Responsibilities:
- Review incoming labs,
- consult with the ordering providers
- call patients and schedule follow-up appointments.
- Give physical exams to make correct diagnoses
- Work with Physicians and Nurses to prescribe and administer treatments
- Monitor patient progress and make adjustments to treatment
- Instruct patients and their families about best practices at home
- Document and update patient records
- Refer patients to specialists as needed
Center Hours:
Mon - Thu: 8am - 9pm
Fri: 8am - 2:30pm
Fri: 8am - 2:30pm
Sat: Closed
Sun: 9am - 4pm
Sun: 9am - 4pm
Requirements:
- Should be Board Certified or Board Eligible
- Active NY State Medical License required
- 2 years of experience as Physician Assistant preferred
- Experience in Dermatology preferred
- Excellent bedside manner
- Work independently and cooperatively with Dermatologist
