Responsibilities:
Clinical Leadership:
- Oversee and coordinate the delivery of nursing care to residents, ensuring it aligns with the highest standards of quality and compliance.
- Conduct regular assessments of residents' health and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Administer medications, treatments, and provide direct nursing care as needed.
- Act as a resource for nursing staff, providing guidance and support in clinical decision-making.
- Lead and supervise nursing staff, including Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs).
- Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate updates, share best practices, and address any concerns or challenges.
- Provide ongoing training and mentorship to ensure the professional development of the nursing team.
- Foster effective communication within the nursing team and collaborate with other departments to optimize resident care.
- Communicate with physicians, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
- Act as a liaison between nursing staff and management, conveying important information and advocating for the needs of the team.
- Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities to enhance the overall quality of care.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of care plans, making adjustments as necessary to meet the evolving needs of residents.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a current, unrestricted license in the state.
- Previous experience in geriatric nursing or a related field is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and strong interpersonal skills.
