We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Charge Nurse to join our team at our Retirement Community in Fargo, ND. As a Charge Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality healthcare services to our senior residents. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing, leadership skills, and a genuine passion for enhancing the well-being of older adults.

Responsibilities:
Clinical Leadership:
  • Oversee and coordinate the delivery of nursing care to residents, ensuring it aligns with the highest standards of quality and compliance.
  • Conduct regular assessments of residents' health and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and provide direct nursing care as needed.
  • Act as a resource for nursing staff, providing guidance and support in clinical decision-making.
Supervision and Staff Development:
  • Lead and supervise nursing staff, including Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs).
  • Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate updates, share best practices, and address any concerns or challenges.
  • Provide ongoing training and mentorship to ensure the professional development of the nursing team.
Communication and Collaboration:
  • Foster effective communication within the nursing team and collaborate with other departments to optimize resident care.
  • Communicate with physicians, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
  • Act as a liaison between nursing staff and management, conveying important information and advocating for the needs of the team.
Quality Improvement:
  • Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities to enhance the overall quality of care.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of care plans, making adjustments as necessary to meet the evolving needs of residents.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.
Qualifications:
  • Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a current, unrestricted license in the state.
  • Previous experience in geriatric nursing or a related field is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and strong interpersonal skills.
