RESPONSIBILITIES:

•  Perform maintenance on all types of production equipment and vehicles with limited direct supervision.
• Follow all company safety and quality requirements.
• Perform scheduled maintenance on equipment throughout the facility. Includes maintenance on production equipment/machines, forklifts, vehicles, trucks, tractors and trailers.
• Perform scheduled safety inspections throughout the facility.
• Provide mechanical, hydraulic and electrical maintenance to equipment at location as needed.
• Required to assist in ordering, inventorying and storing of maintenance parts and supplies.
• Responsible for the care, safe and efficient, use, and security of maintenance tools, parts and supplies.
• Provide building and grounds maintenance.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Must work in a safe manner at all times and follow all company safety rules and guidelines. Must wear the appropriate gear required for the operation which is being performed.
• Read tape measure to 1/16”.
• Willing to work flexible hours and overtime or weekends as needed.
• Work at higher elevations as required.
• Ability to work in adverse weather conditions (heat, cold, rain and wind).
• Prompt and dependable attendance.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Understands the ISO system and elements that affect the job.

EQUIPMENT KNOWLEDGE:

• Strong mechanical abilities and industrial maintenance background. 
• Advanced mechanical knowledge and experience.
• Understand electrical control.
• Interpret electrical drawings.
• Basic computer skills.
• Working knowledge of manufacturing tools and equipment.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

• Vocational School degree or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of responsible experience in maintenance of metal fabrication & machining equipment. 
• Valid Driver’s License. 
• Working knowledge and ability to MIG, TIG and stick weld.
• Ability to prioritize and analyze problems and find safe, workable solutions.
• Excellent mechanical aptitude and average math skills, with emphasis on fractions and decimals.
• Ability to follow instructions and direction.
• Ability to read & use tape measure & other measurement equipment, & ability to use a calculator. 
• Ability to read and understand maintenance manuals, blueprints and schematics.
• Ability to meet predefined deadlines while under pressure and stress.
• Electrical experience in 120V, 240V, 480V, single phase and three phase.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Knowledge of applicable regulatory agencies.
• Thorough and attentive to detail in all job tasks and proactive toward continuous improvement. 
• Perform other duties as required.
• Ability to work with all types of people and operate effectively in a team setting.
• Must have 5 years of repair experience with mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical components.
• The ability to use precision measuring equipment such as calipers, and micrometers.
• Electrical skills required for installing, and troubleshooting various systems.
• Experience with mechanical stamping presses, brake presses, lasers, cranes, and lift trucks.
• Knowledge of all MIOSHA and OSHA Standards.
• Experience identifying components from parts breakdowns.
• Ability to troubleshoot power transmission components, bearings, belts, cams, etc.…
• Familiarity with hydraulics and pneumatics with ability to read and understand schematics and do 
• basic calculations to specify components.
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
• Ability to use electrical troubleshooting skills to include a multimeter, megger tester, amp meter, etc.… 
• Ability to read and understand ladder logic for troubleshooting programmable logic controllers.
• Familiar with spare parts inventory control systems.
• All mechanics are expected to have their own tools; (a list will be provided).
• Must be able to occasionally lift 75 pounds.
• Must be able to work at heights
