About the role:

We are looking for a motivated, highly organized team player who loves a fast paced, high performing environment. This candidate will play a key role in the planning and execution of our flagship customer conference, Samsara Beyond, along with other proprietary customer programs. The primary focus will be on strategy, promotion, and sales enablement, with the goal of expanding our audience. 

Samsara is growing Samsara Beyond into the leading customer conference in the Physical Operations space. We are seeking an agile marketer who can collaborate closely with teammates across functional areas, possesses a deep understanding of event tools, and has the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

In this role, you will:

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success, to ensure seamless integration of event strategies into the broader Samsara plan.
  • Identify and target new strategies to expand the conference audience, with a focus on our core audience and expanding in frontier markets (International, Public Sector, etc)
  • Develop training programs, resources, and tools to enhance the preparedness and effectiveness of field teams to successfully achieve event registration goals
  • Manage the end-to-end execution of onsite meetings and implement strategies to enhance the overall experience for both internal teams and customers 
  • Oversee event registration tools and collaborate closely with design and web team to create a seamless experience for customers and act as a liaison for customer support
  • Utilize Salesforce to create and maintain custom reports and dashboards to track conference performance metrics, attendee engagement, and ROI
  • Bring energy, creativity, and new ideas to build and grow Samsara Beyond and other customer events
  • Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices

This role is open to candidates residing in the US except Alaska, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas, Virginia, Washington DC, and Washington.

Minimum requirements for the role:

  • 6 years of proven experience in event management, with a focus on large customer conferences or proprietary programs.
  • A strong “builder” mentality, leadership skills, strategic vision
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
