Sampco is Hiring a Printing Press Operator Near Pittsfield, MA
Qualprint is hiring! We are currently looking for a Press Operatorfor our Headquarters in Pittsfield.
The Press Operator directs the crew and performs manual and machine operator tasks related to the set-up, maintenance and operation of a 6 or 8 color sheetfed press.
Must have previous experience working on print equipment, preferrable Komori and be able to maintain ink and etch levels, examine printed copy for ink density, position on paper and registration.
The Press Operator will make adjustments to press throughout production run to maintain specific registration and color density; and inspect finished products for quality and accuracy, making necessary adjustments to the machine settings to ensure compliance with specifications, as well as troubleshoot the press and quality related problems and take the appropriate steps to remedy the problem.
The successful candidate should have at least two or more years of operating and maintaining large printing presses, preferably in a commercial print environment.
Must have solid computer skills and a working knowledge of color theory, imposition and printing.
Salary will commensurate with experience.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
