Title:Intensive Residential Program Coordinator

Classification:Full-Time Exempt

Reports to:Clinical Director

Minimum Qualifications: State of Tennessee licensure in behavioral health field and minimum of threeyears experience working with clients who have co-occurring disorders (psychiatric and substance use diagnosis). Knowledge of DSM V psychiatric disorders and frequently prescribed medications (benefits, side effects, etc.); understanding of the disease concept of chemical dependency and how both illnesses intertwine; ability to recognize symptoms of decompensation from either illness; familiarity with community resources and the ability to make appropriate referrals; excellent written and oral communication skills. Prior supervisory experience highly desirable.

Supervisory Responsibilities:Intensive Residential Counselors/Therapists

Job Summary:Provide clinical, administrative, and operational supervision for the IR program and counselors.Provide individual, group and family counseling and related casework duties to chemically dependent adults, with or without a co-occurring mental health disorder; provide other educational and treatment program components; participate as member of the clinical staff in developing, implementing, and evaluating program services.

Duties:

- Supervise the IR Counselors, to include employment interviewing and recommendations for hiring and termination; routine supervision of clinical and casework duties; performance appraisals, etc.

- Provide individual, group and family counseling to caseload of chemically dependent adults, with or without a co-occurring.

- Provide related program components including assessments, lectures, focused group sessions, and other treatment or educational activities as scheduled.

- Participate in Management Team meetings, Professional Staff meetings, Clinical Staffings, and other meetings/activities as applicable.

- Ensure that all attendant paperwork and/or electronic record entries associated with treatment activities (Treatment Plans, Progress Notes, ASAM Reviews, Discharge Summaries, ASI’s, etc., and other documentation) are completed within established time frames and in accordance with agency standards.

 - Maintain progress notes and all chart documentation in a manner that is behavioral and concise, and relates to individual client needs and treatment plans (See Criteria for Effective Documentation on Relias.)

- Provide client referrals for support/resource services as needed to achieve individual treatment plan goals.

- Participate in training, professional development and affiliations in accord with agency goals and mission.

- Perform other related duties as required.
